Sidney Albert (7585)

1909 married Jane (Jinny), lived at She Oaks as a farmer.
1915 Dec 19 She Oaks -Sadly, Sidney Albert took his own life on the 19th of December 1915 at his home in She Oaks. The magisterial inquest stated that he had a quarrel with his wife, had some business worries, and had appeared depressed and of ill temper. His father advised that he had had a fall from a horse 9 years earlier and he had recently been treated for a strained heart. Sidney shot himself outside the back door of their country farmhouse at She Oaks. After hearing the report of the gun, Jane found her husband’s dead body and ran to the neighbours for help. Sidney left Jane with four little children to raise, including two twin babies. The local community rallied around her to help her continue the farm and to bring in the crops. Jane continued to live in the area for many more years until her death in Ascot Vale Victoria in 1956.Children:
