J.R. Cunnington, 71, dies after brief illness
John Robert, 71, died at a local hospital Wednesday afternoon following a brief illness.
He was born in SLC, Ut, Dec 10 1876, the son of John and Minerva Higby (sic) .
He spent his early life in SLC and later married Elnora Wadsworth of Hooper, Ut, in Oct of 1897. Following their marriage they lived in SLC for a number of years, where he was engaged in the mercantile business.
In 1916 the family moved to Idaho Falls where he worked as a butcher for the Utah-Idaho Sugar Company.
Later he worked for the Smith-Hart company where he has been employed for the past 20 years in the parts department.
Besides his widow he is survived by the following sons and daughters: Allie C, Hooper UT, Robert, Los Angeles, Cal; Rue, Hooper UT; Mrs Abbie Gardner, Idaho Falls; Mrs Leona Shirley, Sparks, Nevada; Archie, Driggs, Idaho and Manuel, Idaho Falls.
One brother, Pat, SLC and one sister Mrs Francis Bownes, SF Cal, 27 grandchildren also survive.

He had very acute arthritis and diabetes and died of cancer. His hands were VERY affected by the arthritis so they looked like claws, but he gardened and made homemade bread that was to die for. He was always very small as I remember him because he was 'sickly' as they say - but we loved him so much.
